Trump National In Westchester Fires Illegal Undocumented Workers During Border Wall Shutdown

About a dozen Latin American employees at the Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor lost their jobs after each worked there for more than a decade as managers knew they had phony documents but looked the other way, according to an investigative report by The Washington Post.

The workers, some of whom won employee-of-the-month awards, were called in one-on-one and told the news on Friday, Jan. 18, amid the record 35-day government shutdown over President Trump's demand for a border wall, the report said.

Some of those fired, who make up about half the club's wintertime workforce, were trusted enough to have keys to Eric Trump’s weekend home, according to the report.

The firings come after a New York Times report of undocumented labor at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, where employees were subsequently dismissed and show Trump businesses "relying on undocumented workers even as the president demanded a border wall to keep out such immigrants," according to The Washington Post story.

Trump gave a campaign speech at Trump National in Briarcliff In June 2016 (second photo above) in which he said he comforted parents of children murdered by illegal immigrants.

“On immigration policy, ‘America First’ means protecting the jobs, wages and security of American workers, whether first or 10th generation,” Trump said in that speech. “No matter who you are, we’re going to protect your job because, let me tell you, our jobs are being stripped from our country like we’re babies.”
